Claude Partner Network 2026: Tiers and EU Partners
Claude Partner Network explained: Select, Preferred and Global Premier requirements, what partners get, and how to find a listed Claude partner in DACH and Europe.
TL;DR
The Claude Partner Network is Anthropic’s free program for consultancies that implement Claude. Listed firms carry one of three tiers: Select, Preferred or Global Premier, set by certified staff, production customers and public references. On 1 October 2026 the directory showed 88 firms, 29 with a DACH office. Partner status says nothing about GDPR compliance.
What is the Claude Partner Network?
The Claude Partner Network is Anthropic’s program for firms that bring Claude to enterprise customers. It launched on 12 March 2026 with an initial 100 million USD commitment for training, technical support and joint market development. Membership is free. Qualified partners appear in a public service partner directory that buyers can filter by region and service.
The launch announcement is short on mechanics. It says any organization bringing Claude to market can join, that the partner-facing team grows fivefold to provide Applied AI engineers on live customer deals, and that qualified partners get added to the directory. It names Accenture, Deloitte, Cognizant and Infosys among the early partners.
The mechanics came three months later. On 3 June 2026 Anthropic published the Services Track and Partner Hub: published tier requirements, a daily-refreshed standing for each firm, and a public directory. By then more than 40,000 firms had applied and more than 10,000 consultants held a Claude certification. Industry and use-case specializations are announced as “coming”; we found no live specialization in our fetch.
The application form narrows who gets in. Applicants must be a registered business with 10 or more employees, operate in a supported region and offer consulting, implementation or managed services. Firms that build a product on Claude are pointed to the API instead. Software vendors that embed Claude appear in a separate “Powered by Claude” directory on the partners page, next to the cloud partners AWS, Google Cloud and Microsoft.
Which tiers exist and what do they require?
The Services Track has one entry level and three tiers. Every applicant starts at Registered, with a commitment to 10 certified practitioners. Select, Preferred and Global Premier each require a minimum count of active certified people, production customers and published customer stories. Anthropic applies the same thresholds to a ten-person shop and a global consultancy.
| Level | Active certified people | Customers live in production | Public customer stories | Extra | Firms in directory (1 Oct 2026) |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Registered | commitment to 10 | none | none | entry level | not shown as a tier |
| Select | 10 or more | 2 or more in trailing 12 months | 1 or more | none | 56 |
| Preferred | 100 or more | 15 or more | 3 or more | none | 17 |
| Global Premier | 1,000 or more | 100 or more, across three or more regions | 15 or more | joint business plan with named executive sponsors | 14 |
Three details matter when you read a tier badge. First, “active certified” means a person holds a current Anthropic certification and has used Claude in the past 90 days. A firm cannot certify a bench once and coast. Second, certifications belong to individual people, not firms. When a certified architect leaves, the firm’s count drops. Third, promotions happen on fixed dates: 1 January and 1 July, with an additional review on 1 October 2026 in this first year. Our directory fetch ran on that review date, so some badges may change in the following days.
The tier counts in the table come from the directory’s own filter. The page lists 88 firms in total. Cognizant shows a Global Premier badge on its card but carries no tier tag in the filter data, which explains why 14, 17 and 56 add up to 87.
Joining and being listed with a tier are separate steps. The launch post says qualified partners are added to the directory, and the June post puts every new applicant at Registered. A firm can truthfully say it is a member of the network while not appearing in the public directory. If a tier claim matters for your decision, check the directory, not the firm’s website.
What do partners get from Anthropic?
Partners get training, certification, technical help on deals and marketing support. Concretely: access to the Partner Portal with Anthropic Academy material and sales playbooks, four role-based certifications with discounted first attempts for tiered partners, Applied AI engineers on live customer deals, co-marketing, a Code Modernization starter kit, and referral credit for sending new business to Anthropic.
The four certifications, announced on 23 July 2026, map to roles inside a partner firm:
- Claude Certified Associate, Foundations: consultants and project leads who use Claude daily.
- Claude Certified Developer, Foundations: engineers building on the Claude API, tool use and agents.
- Claude Certified Architect, Foundations: solution architects designing agent systems. This was the first exam, available from launch day.
- Claude Certified Architect, Professional: integration architecture, governance and evaluation for enterprise-scale deployments.
Pearson Professional Assessments runs the exams as proctored, identity-verified tests, and badges are issued through Credly. Neither the announcement nor the blog post states an exam price or a validity period, so we leave both out.
For a buyer, two benefits change the economics of an engagement. Applied AI engineers from Anthropic can join live customer deals, which means hard technical questions can reach Anthropic through the partner. Referral credit and deal protection reward partners for bringing business to Anthropic. That is a commercial incentive to steer you toward Anthropic contracts, which is fine, as long as you know it exists when the partner recommends a deployment path.
How do you find a Claude partner in DACH and Europe?
Use the service partner directory and filter by “Office Locations” for on-site work or “Remote Service Coverage” for remote delivery. On 1 October 2026, 29 of 88 listed firms tagged an office in DACH and 46 tagged remote DACH coverage. Then open each profile on the Partner Hub and check deployment surface, industries and references.
Our process for a shortlist:
- Filter on “DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland)” under Office Locations if you need people on site, or under Remote Service Coverage if remote delivery is acceptable.
- Add “Deployment Surface” to match your contract: Claude API direct, Amazon Bedrock, Google Vertex or Microsoft Foundry. A partner that only lists the direct API is a weak fit if your data must stay in an AWS EU region.
- Remove the region filter once and scan the full list. Accenture, Deloitte and McKinsey & Company carry only a tier tag in the directory data, so any region filter hides them.
- Open the Partner Hub profile of each candidate. Anthropic says the public directory shows tier, certified team, customer deployments and public references.
- Ask for the customer stories behind the tier and call one reference in your industry.
Firms in the directory that describe themselves as based in DACH: adesso SE (Select), which calls itself one of Germany’s largest IT service providers with more than 11,300 employees across DACH and Europe; Unit8 (Select), a Swiss data and AI services company; and OWT (Select), a Swiss consultancy and Swisscom company. Global Premier firms with a tagged DACH office include Bain & Company, Boston Consulting Group, Capgemini, Cognizant, PwC, Tata Consultancy Services, UST and CI&T. Preferred firms with a DACH office are EPAM, Forgd and Percepta.
Outside DACH, the directory counted 24 firms with offices in France and Benelux, 15 in the Nordics, 31 in Southern Europe and 52 in the UK and Ireland. European-founded firms include Netlight (Select, 2,200 consultants across Europe), MSTR (Select, Netherlands) and SFEIR (Select, France, Belgium and Luxembourg). An office tag is self-reported location data. It does not tell you how many certified people sit in that office.
What does partner status guarantee, and what not?
A tier proves three things Anthropic counts: certified people who used Claude recently, customers in production, and published references. It does not certify data protection, security practice or legal advice. None of the published tier criteria mention GDPR, ISO 27001 or data residency. You check those yourself, as for any other supplier.
This matters because a Claude partner often touches personal data. They configure your Claude Enterprise workspace, build connectors into your document stores, or read prompts and logs while debugging. In GDPR terms that usually makes them a processor acting for you. Recital 81 of the GDPR says controllers should only use processors providing sufficient guarantees, in particular in expert knowledge, reliability and resources, and that the processing must be governed by a contract under Union or Member State law. A tier badge from Anthropic is not that contract and not that guarantee.
Keep two contracts apart. Your agreement with Anthropic, or with AWS, Google or Microsoft if you consume Claude through their cloud, governs where model inference happens. Our Claude Enterprise vs Bedrock comparison covers those options. Your agreement with the partner governs what the partner does with your data and systems. A Global Premier firm can still route test data through a US sandbox if your contract with it does not forbid that.
Also do not read the tier as a quality ranking for your project. Global Premier rewards scale: 1,000 certified people and 100 customers across three regions. A Select firm with ten specialists can be the better choice for a single Bedrock deployment in Frankfurt. The provider landscape behind each contract is in our GDPR comparison of Claude providers.
Run it yourself or outsource?
Running Claude in house means owning the workspace and its SSO, connectors and permissions, prompt and usage policies, cost monitoring, user training and model upgrades. Outsourcing makes sense when you lack platform engineers or need a rollout to hundreds of users fast. It makes less sense for a single team on Claude Team with no integrations.
What in-house operation costs is mostly people, not licenses. The recurring tasks we see in Claude deployments: user provisioning through SSO and SCIM, connector maintenance when a source system changes, reviewing usage and spend per team, answering “can I put this data in Claude” questions, updating internal guidance when Anthropic ships a new model, and training new joiners. Our estimate, not a sourced figure: a company with a few hundred Claude users needs at least one person who owns the platform part time, plus a named contact in data protection and IT security.
Outsource when one of these holds: you want production use cases beyond chat within one quarter, you plan Claude Code or agent builds without in-house engineers who know the API, or you need someone on call. Keep it in house when Claude is a chat tool for one department, when your IT team already runs similar SaaS, or when the integrations touch systems you would not give an outside firm access to anyway.
If you hire a partner, demand these items for a Claude engagement:
| Item | What to ask for |
|---|---|
| Directory listing | Tier and profile on claude.com/marketplace/service-partners, checked by you |
| Certified team | Names and certification of the people on your project, not the firm total |
| SLA | Response times for incidents in your Claude workspace, connectors and agents |
| DPA (Art. 28 GDPR) | Signed before any access to prompts, logs or connected data |
| Subprocessor list | Every subcontractor and offshore delivery center that can touch your data |
| Access model | Named accounts, least privilege, no shared admin, access logged and revocable |
| Deployment surface | Experience with your surface: API direct, Bedrock, Vertex or Foundry, in an EU region |
| Exit | Documentation, connector code and configuration handed over, with a notice period |
The data protection side of the workspace itself is covered in our guide to Claude data privacy for business.
Disclosure: llm-integration.eu is operated by Pexon Consulting, which offers a managed Claude service and states that it is a member of the Claude Partner Network; as of 1 October 2026 it is not shown in the public service partner directory.
FAQ
What does it cost to join the Claude Partner Network?
Nothing. Anthropic states that membership is free and that getting started is free. The real cost is certification: every tier needs active certified people, and the exams run through Pearson. Anthropic gives tiered partners a discount on the first attempt but publishes no exam price in the announcements we checked.
Select vs Global Premier: which partner tier should a mid-sized company pick?
Pick by fit, not by tier. Global Premier requires 1,000 certified people and 100 production customers across three or more regions, so it signals scale. Select requires 10 certified people and 2 production customers. For a single Bedrock or Claude Enterprise rollout in Germany, a Select firm with the right deployment surface can be the better match.
How many Claude partners are there in Germany, Austria and Switzerland?
On 1 October 2026 the service partner directory listed 88 firms worldwide. 29 of them tagged an on-site office in DACH and 46 tagged remote coverage of DACH. Accenture, Deloitte and McKinsey & Company carry no region tag, so a DACH filter hides them.
Is a Claude partner automatically GDPR compliant?
No. The tier criteria measure certified staff, production customers and published references. They do not cover data protection. If the partner can access personal data, you need a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR and its subprocessor list, regardless of tier.
How can a company become a Claude partner?
Apply through the Claude Partner Network form. You need to be a registered business with 10 or more employees, operate in a supported region and offer consulting, implementation or managed services. New applicants start at Registered. Promotion to Select requires 10 active certified people, 2 production customers and 1 public customer story.
Does a firm that says it is in the Claude Partner Network appear in the directory?
Not necessarily. Membership starts at Registered, and Anthropic adds qualified partners to the directory. A firm can be a member without a listed tier. Check the directory on claude.com before you rely on a partner claim.
